Melted Fir Honey Brie Goat Cheese with Hemp Seeds and Morello Cherries

 
This decadent melting Brie is accompanied by morello cherries, but also by seasonal and local berries. It can be eaten as an appetizer to share. A good cider or a good glass of Quebec white wine to accompany it.
 
 

Ingredients

  • 1 large goat brie

  • 60 ml (1⁄4 cup) hemp seeds

  • 125 ml (1⁄2 cup) Morello cherries cut in halves

  • 125ml (1⁄2 cup) blueberries* (optional)

  • 60 ml (1⁄4 cup) fir honey

 

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Place the brie on a small round baking tray.

Cover with fir honey and half of the cherries, sliced in halves. Bake for 12 minutes, or until the cheese starts to melt.

Serve with bread, green salad, blueberries, and the last of the cherries.

Perfect for appetizers or afternoon snacks.
